- Ingredient / Specification
- Each vial contains Polymyxin B sulfate 500,000 units
- Dosage Form / Appearance
- Injection (freeze-dried injection)
- Indications
- For adult patients with severe infections caused by Polymyxin B-susceptible and multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, not suitable for treating urinary tract infections.
- Usage & Dosage
- Patients with renal insufficiency (CLcr < 60 mL/min): Intravenous injection 15,000-25,000 units/kg daily, administered every 12 hours.
- Contraindications
- Patients who have had severe allergic reactions to polymyxin antibiotics, patients with myasthenia gravis.
- Precautions
- Nephrotoxicity/neurotoxicity risk: Renal function must be carefully measured, avoid concurrent use with other neurotoxic and/or nephrotoxic drugs.
- Storage Conditions
- Unopened: Store between 20° and 25°C. After preparation: Must be refrigerated between 2° and 8°C, discard after 72 hours.
